Summary: Some of the staff at the front desk was not very clear in explaining the options about upgrades that they offered. It seems that we a very late arrival they checked us in the following day creating an extra day. Very confusing. But the staff the following day untangled the situation. Alaska resorts, as well as restaurants today are staffed with foreign students. 99% speak a very good understandable English but some not.
